Staying with Us |
More than just an Inn in the heart of Scotland, The Kinross Salutation Inn is a small, modest Scottish style property where you can experience local hospitality as it should be. With 8 bedrooms on site, all decorated to offer you a comfortable stay with all the modern conveniences you deserve, and at an affordable cost.
From the outside, you’ll feel like you are stepping back in time as the building oozes a timeless historical charm. You’ll find us located just a few minutes drive from Loch Leven and even closer to the Loch Leven Nature Reserve.
The Kinross Salutation Inn is where Highland hospitality meets quietly comfort. With just 8 rooms, we offer a restful retreat that’s more guest house than grand hotel – without skimping on the essentials.
Each room is simply decorated, with a dash of Scottish charm and a focus on relaxed atmosphere. Expect comfortable beds, sparkling en-suite bathrooms, blackout curtains (for those rare sunny mornings), flatscreen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary toiletries. It’s everything you need for a peaceful night – and maybe a cheeky lie-in.
Back in May 1860, the Salutation Hotel welcomed some rather distinguished guests—the Duc de Aumale, son of King Louis Philippe of France, along with his family. After exploring the historic Castle Island, they returned to the Salutation for a well-earned luncheon. It’s just one of the many stories woven into the walls of this timeless Kinross landmark.
Located in the heart of Scotland, Kinross is the perfect base to explore the best of the country. Just 45 minutes from Edinburgh Airport, and within easy reach of Edinburgh (45 mins), Glasgow (50 mins), Gleneagles (40 mins), and St Andrews (1 hr), it’s as convenient as it is scenic. With excellent transport links, including Ember’s electric intercity buses, getting here—and around—is simple.
